BIOGRAPHY
Maureen Reilette Jackson Brown, more famously known as Rebbie Jackson, is perhaps one of the most talented female R&B artists of our time. Although her career is often overshadowed by those of her more famous siblings such as Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson, those who have had the pleasure of stumbling across some of Rebbie's albums have been enlightened by Rebbie's extraordinary talents, and more importantly, her amazing songs. Rebbie is quite arguably the best vocalist out of the three Jackson sisters, and has developed a large following of R&B and soul music lovers across the globe.
While her siblings ventured off into the pop genre, Rebbie chose to stick with her smooth R&B roots, and released four amazing soul albums. Her debut album Centipede is perhaps the most well-known, as it includes her #4 Billboard hit "Centipede", as well as the singles "Play Me (I'm A Jukebox)" and "A Fork in the Road". Her subsequent follow-ups were nothing short of stunning, and her 1998 comeback album Yours Faithfully was an excellent refreshment in times when classic R&B music was beginning to fall to the wayside with the rise in popularity of urban R&B-pop and hip-hop.
Rebbie spent the later years of her career performing in Las Vegas, in a nightly show where she would perform some of her hits as well as a few songs by her brothers, The Jackson 5. After Yours Faithfully, she quietly retired from the music scene and now enjoys spending her time at home with her family, including her son Austin, who is following in his mother's footsteps and pursuing a music career in R&B music.
