I've done a lot of studying with this and it's
quite complicated.
To begin with, being Jamaican does NOT mean you're black. All but one of Sean
Paul's grandparents are native Jamaicans, born in Jamaica, but none of them are
full black.
Sean Paul is only 1/8 black. His paternal grandmother is half black and half
white. His paternal grandfather is full white (half Portuguese, which is still
white). His maternal grandmother is also full white, born and raised in England
(the only of Sean Paul's 4 grandparents who was NOT born in Jamaica). His
maternal grandfather is full-blooded Chinese.
So, to put it simply, Sean Paul is:
62.5% White
25% Chinese
12.5% Black
HOWEVER, he is a Jamaican citizen by birth, and he is 75% native-born Jamaican.
